The Summarising End Of 2 Corinthians

On Friday we finished our study through 2 Corinthians at Saar Fellowship. In 13.11-13 Paul distills the essence of his utter into these five to-dos;

Often times we can overlook the practicality of the Bible. Yes, of course, it presents God to us, reveals Jesus to us, shares the Spirit with us, but it is also

“…useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.”

(2 Timothy 3.16-17)

Maybe we don’t have a letter pointing out the specifics of what needs care in our community as the Corinthians did here, but if we take these things as things we can all do we will find ourselves experiencing more and more the powerful and enriching presence of God (v.11b).

Don’t we want that for ourselves and for our church, for one another?

Don’t we want to elevate our existence with the powerful and enriching presence of God, each and every day?

If we do, taking these five summarising points is a great place to start.
